The Old City Valetta
Valletta is the capital of the State of Malta. It is located in Mediterranean Sea and has a population of 400.000 people. Tourism is an important economic resource of this country. There Thousand of Tourists and cruise staff visiting Valletta to enjoy the uniqueness of this city.
The city is surrounded with high security fortress which is built in the 16th century. Valletta own words taken from a hero who fought in the era of Malta was named Jean Parisot Valete. A nobleman who fought against the Turks and Rhodes to defend the island of Malta.
The uniqueness of this city is a yellowish-gray color of almost any building. This color is uneven because most of the buildings (including the fortress) were built using the limestone. The architecture of city still inherits the Era architecture in Malta which is influenced by the triumph of Christianity.
On the edge of the pier, there are several souvenir shop, cafes and restaurants. The building is the combination between 16th century architecture and the modern architecture. There are also Wi-Fi availabe in those areas.
To reach the city center you can walk or ride a bus. The bus ticket is €1 for the return ticket. It is only need around 15-20 minutes to reach the city center from the harbor.
